Terms and Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE BEFORE RETURNING THE REGISTRATION/ENROLLMENT FORM TO GLOBALEX EDUCATION AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

 

Please note that by signing the Enrollment Form you are agreeing to abide by and adhere to the conditions below.

 

1.DEFINITIONS

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the following meaning:

GlobalEx Education LLC (providing educational classes online)

Fees: The class published fees, which cover session fees only Student for any child enrolled at GlobalEx Education 

Parent/Teacher/Caregiver: The signatory or signatories to the application form.

Company Rules: Rules of the online classes, policies and procedures and Regulations.

Term: The Education Term at GlobalEx Education varies throughout the year and course that is purchased.

 

2. AGREEMENT

(a) A legally binding Agreement is made upon the registration of the student. For avoidance of any doubt, the contract arising upon registration is made between the Company and the Parent by completion of a registration/enrollment form. Where that form is completed referencing more than one party, then responsibility of those parties is joint.

(b) In entering into the Agreement the Parent agrees that they and the Student will:

i. Be bound by the Company Rules and by these Terms and Conditions; and

ii. Company in maintaining its good standards of behavior and discipline and adhere to the code of conduct.

(c) The rights of the Company under this Agreement will not be waived even if these Terms and Conditions are not enforced.

 

3.THE COMPANY’S RULES OF CLASSES

(a) When joining the classes, Pupils and Parents are bound by the Rules of which include:

i. Parents/guardians must supervise children at all times.

ii. The teacher is there to deliver the classes, not take responsibility for the child.

 

4. FEES

(a) Fees payable to the Company cover the cost of providing the class only.

(b) Fees are payable termly in advance through Wix website. The due date of your fees will be detailed on your invoice. We do not accept cash and cheques.

(c) It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your contact information.

(d) After class trial/demo period, if payment is not received upon enrollment by due date, the GlobalEx Education LLC will suspend its provision of services. However, this does not release you from your contractual obligations.

(f) No reduction will be made from the Fees where teaching is reduced because of or matters outside of the control of the Company. If the Company has to close temporarily due to emergency, the Term may be extended or course adjusted according to company needs and availability.

(g) The Company reserves the right to increase Fees with notice each Term.

 

5. REFUND POLICY

(a) No refund of the Company Fees shall be due in the event of non-attendance by a Student.

(b) Fees of non-attended classes shall not be carried over from one term to the next and are not transferable to another Parent or child.

(c) If the Company fails to provide a class due to teacher absence, every effort will be made to provide a substitute lesson at another time within the academic year or a refund may be offered where this is not possible.

 

6. NOTICE PERIOD

  1. Before the end of term, GlobalEx Education LLC will write to parents to give them a date to inform the Company of the parent’s intention to stop the classes. This date will be 2 weeks before the end of the term.

 

7. EXCLUSION

(a) Exclusion for a fixed period of time and/or permanently excluded may occur for:

i. A breach of Company Rules and/or code of conduct;

ii. Non-payment of Fees; or

iii. If the Parent’s or student’s behavior is unreasonable and is likely to adversely affect the Student, other parents, or other Pupils or staff at the Company, or to bring the Company into disrepute.

(b) In all cases of exclusion, full Fees will remain payable for the Term in which it occurs.

(c) A Parent or student who has been withdrawn, excluded, suspended or expelled from the GlobalEx learning platform have no right to enter the platform premises without prior consent.

 

8. COMPLAINTS

In the event of a complaint which the Parent is unable to resolve satisfactorily, the Parent must put the complaint in writing to globalexeducation@gmail.com

 

9. INSURANCE

(a) The Company accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or injury to a Parents or Pupils whilst partaking in the online classes/activities.

(b) Parents/guardians must supervise the Student at all times during the class.

(d) The teacher is there to teach and run the class only. The parent/guardian is responsible for their child, the child’s conduct, and the child’s safety at all times during the session and while on the learning platform.

 

10. COPYRIGHT AND DATA PROTECTION

(a) Personal data provided by or relating to Parent or Student will be used by the Company for the purposes of fee billing; maintaining Student records; as required in connection with provision of a Student’s education; statistical analysis; market research and communication.

(b) With prior written consent only from the Parents a Student’s details may be used in our marketing materials including the Student’s first name and details of educational achievements. A Student’s photo may also be used in our marketing materials. We may also use video footage including your child. If you do not wish your child’s details or photos, or video footage including your child to be used in such a way, then please notify the Company when such a proposal is discussed.

(c) All materials are protected by copyright law. All published materials and resources remain the property of the Company owner. You acknowledge that you must not modify, copy, distribute or reproduce any of the online content, online classes, videos, published materials or website/social media content.

 

11. GENERAL CONDITIONS

The Company reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the standard Terms and Conditions, to the size and location of the Company, to its premises and facilities, to the curriculum, the structure and composition of classes, the way the Company is run, to the length of the Company’s terms and to any other aspect of the Company.

Siblings of children attending GlobalEx Education will be allowed free admission on a play only basis. No other concessions will apply.

 

12. VARIATIONS OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE AGREEMENT The offer and acceptance of a place are made on the basis that any successful Company needs to develop and that the Company may make reasonable changes to these Terms and Conditions as they see fit.

Guardians or Parents will inform the Company promptly of any changes to the details contained in the Registration/Enrollment Form.

 

Privacy Policy

We are GlobalEx Education Scholars who, for the purpose of this Privacy Notice will be referred to as GlobalEx Education, we, ours or us.

 

Your Privacy

At GlobalEx Education, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our customers, potential customers and visitors to our website.

We do not sell or otherwise distribute the personal data of customers, visitors to our website or our mailing list.

This Privacy Notice provides details of when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

 

Collection and Use of Personal Information

Most of the personal information is received directly by you in order to provide you with GlobalEx Education’s services. Personal information means any information that may be used to identify you, such as, your name, title, phone number, email address, or postal address.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information are contractual obligation, consent and legitimate interest.

In general, you can browse our website without giving us any personal information. We use Google Analytics to analyse traffic to our website to understand visitors’ needs and to help ensure that the site provides relevant and useful information.

We collect only anonymous, aggregate statistics. For example, we do not tie a specific visit to a specific IP address. However, there are additional activities on our site that require you to register, for example, to receive information/contact from us in relation to our services. As part of the registration process, we collect personal information to enable us to send you the most relevant response and to enable us to contact you regarding your enquiry (we may also contact you to check that our records are correct). Where you have ‘opted in’ you will also receive news and updates from us.

 

Links to Other Websites

Our website will contain links to information on other websites that we do not control. On websites we do not control, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide while visiting those sites. Those sites are not governed by this Privacy Notice, and if you have questions about how a site uses your information, you will need to check that site’s privacy statement.

Marketing Data

Client Data for Student Enrollment

The categories of student information that we process include:

-Personal identifiers and contacts (e.g. name, unique student number, contact details and address)

-Safeguarding information if advised (such as court orders and professional involvement)

-Attendance (such as sessions attended and current preschool attended)

All information is held on a secure server. This information is held for 13 months following termination of your lessons with us and is then deleted.

As part of the enrollment process, we will also ask you for your consent to send you marketing information, newsletters, and general updates via email about GlobalEx Education. We also request permission to send text messages where urgent or essential information needs to be communicated to you.

Updating Your Personal Information and Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our marketing emails or by emailing globalexeducation@gmail.com

 

Access to Your Personal Information

Under data protection law, you have rights to access, update or remove any of the information we hold with regard to you, simply email your request to globalexeducation@gmail.com. We will process this request within one month. Data will be removed in line with the requirements of the GDPR.

How long will we keep your data for?

If we don’t receive any interaction from you in 13 months we will delete your data.

Ad Words – We use AdWords to drive customers to our website. Through this link there is conversion tracking. This provides basic information to us about how effective the ad is and what a user searched for the advert to appear.

The Personal Information We Collect from your Child

 

We require consent from a parent or guardian before we collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.  A parent or guardian is required to register and create an account for any child under 13 years of age and GlobalEx Education does not intentionally collect personal information from a child under 13 years of age.  However, when using the Services, your child may have the ability to upload certain content to the publicly accessible classroom message board, including personal information, images or location information, that may be used to identify your child.  We prohibit your child from uploading such information to the classroom message board, however, we may not monitor the message boards to verify that your child is in compliance with this requirement.  The amount and type of personal information that GlobalEx Education collects from your child depends on the nature of their interaction with the Services.  Children are required to refrain from posting personal information and if they abide by this requirement, GlobalEx Education will not collect any personal information from your child.      

 

By executing the Parental COPPA Notice and creating an account for your child you are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of your child’s personal information as provided herein.  Your child is not permitted to use the Services without your direct consent and guidance.  We require that you assist your child in using the Services so that you may monitor the personal information that they are disclosing.  

 

During the registration process, you will be asked to input personal information about your child such as name and email address and may be asked additional profile questions regarding their use of the Services.  

 

If you believe your child may have submitted personal information to the Services without your permission or consent, please contact us via email at globalexeducation@gmail.com and we will delete the information.
